Natland Terrace

Natland Terrace was built in 1897 to house railway workers.

Natland Terrace actually comprises two rows of terraces – one row either side of Hill Place built the same year.

Martha Swainbank nee Lord (1870-1932), wife of Henry Swainbank, a locomotive driver, ran a shop from her home in Natland Terrace until the Railway Company found out!
